BFA's Got Talent

This past weekend the students of BFA shared their gifts and talents wtih all of us as they sang, danced and performed comical skits. If immitation is the highest form of flattery, then Rob should feel flattered by the rap battle between two students posing as the administration.

AWANA Games

On March 10th, Matthew, along with others from the Kandern AWANA team, traveled to a nearby US military base to compete in the AWANA Games. The Gamed consisted of a Bible Quiz and Team Games. There were 18 teams in the Bible quiz which consisted of Bible memory versus and questions which needed to be recited and answered in front of a panel of judges. Matthew's team came in third for the Bible quiz. The team came in 2nd place in the games. It was a great day of fun and competition, all while showing their love for the Lord with all their hearts, souls and minds.

Escape

    The traveling circus is spending the winter here in Kandern.  They have set up their living area next to the clay soccer field nearby  BFA.   Last week I was just getting to BFA to help in a class for the afternoon when I heard horses running down the street. Well, they had escaped from the circus pens and headed to the center of town! They were looking quite pleased with themselves, before some people were able to catch them and walk them back.  

Jake's b-day

                           Jake does love cake !  Happy 8th :)

dorm days...

Here are a few of the guys from HBR the dorm that we are dorm parent subs for.  The guys on the couch are some of the juniors. In the middle of this one big hug from the freshmen is one of the R.A.'s  before she had the weekend off.  As you can see she is well loved by them :)

Wrestling Matches

The wrestling matches come to BFA.  Last weekend 4 other schools came to participate in the tournament.

There were 193 matches.    That made for a very long day for the wrestlers and fans.   Andrew wrestled and Rob worked the scoring table.  All in all it was a great day.

birthday!

Andrew turned 15 in January !!

We still can not believe we have a teen :)

We celebrated with a gluten free chocolate cake topped with chocolate peanut butter frosting,  yum !
