Jake Gets His License!
Here in Germany they take riding your bike very seriously. All 4th graders must go through a written test, practical driving test and bike inspection all through the police department. A lot is riding on this as you cannot ride on the street without passing.
Here is a picture of Jake and his best friend Max awaiting their turn for the test. I don't know how they are still smiling, I was stressed watching them! They both passed and are now licensed drivers.

Chrysalis' Got Talent - Matt on Guitar & Ukulele
Matthew and 2 friends performed in the Middle School Talent Show. They took 1st place for groups. Matthew has been working hard on learning guitar and we think he's done a great job. Click the video to hear him play some Jason Mraz, Chuck Berry and Queen.

HS Retreat
Please join us in praying for the retreat speaker and musicians. One has arrived safely only to come down with the stomach flu hours later and the other still stuck in the US with a frozen airplane. Please also join us in praying for the hearts of our students here to be filled with the hope of Christ. For those that are walking with the Lord to be further committed and for those not to move to make a decision to choose Christ! May their time together be filled renewing and growth. Thank you !!

Wrestling2014
We got to go to a wrestling match on Base this year, Rob even helped the coaches as the head coach was unable to make this match.
The guys did well even with a few injuries. It was helpful that we went as Rob was able to take few of our guys to the hospital which was about 20 minutes away. It is quite a task to navigate a hospital in a foreign country with no knowledge of medical terms in German. They walked away with a good experience the Doctors and Nurses were helpful and took great care of the guys (one broken arm and the other stitches above the eye) They were back in about 3 hours door to door and the bill was about 180 euro for both that had to be paid right then. Good thing for ATM's ! Not bad at all :) They even made it back for the last few matches.
Before we headed home a very generous mom from one of the other teams gave each of our guys money for dinner at the food court !! With that they got to enjoy some american fast food that you grow to miss living in our village. The boys seemed to be a split between taco bell and subway, as we do not have much access to mex-food here. It was a great treat! OH the things you miss are strange…..
