Middle Schoolers Chill'n

   Middle School kicks off the year with games on the first Friday once school starts.  This year the weather was beautiful as the grades 5-8 gathered on Ken's Court to play games and run crazy !

Dorm Subbing

   Well, we have started back at HBR as dorm subs again this year.  On Thursday nights we will spend the evening at a boys dorm for dinner, help with homework, lunch prep for the next day, making HBR's famous chocolate chip cookies, laundry, breakfast prep & anything else that might come up !   We are glad to spend the night with these boys so that the dorm parents can have a much needed night off.  This will be our 5th year at HBR and have watched these boys grow into great young men !

Spiritual Emphasis Week

This week is Spiritual Emphasis Week at Black Forest Academy. Please pray that God would move in powerful ways in the hearts and lives of our students as well as in our own. Please pray in particular for those students who have not yet chosen to follow Him.

Opening Ceremonies 2014

  Opening day at BFA is filled with emotion.  It's the first time many students have seen each other since June and they are all eager to catch up.   It's a time when parents leave their students in the care of our dorm staff and community until Christmas.  It's the anticipation of a new school year and what it will be like.    It's also a big change to many new students that arrive from other countries and cultures.  Many faces change each year here,  so there is a lot of newness even if you have been here for years.

Indwelling

This year's theme for the school year is indwelling.  Our students will investigate what it means to have the Living God dwelling with in us.

Graduation 2014

Graduation was fabulous!  BFA has a tradition, once each senior is called to receive his or her diploma the Director shares  a tribute about that senior along with a verse that most fits them.  It is quite beautiful!

The senior class gift this year was a costume of our mascot.  GO FALCONS!!!
