It was my privilege to be able to be able to share with you the Top Scholar Awards. As a new member of the faculty here at BFA, I have been impressed by the academic tradition here. This tradition is founded on leadership through the comprehensive program that is offered, the teachers through the subject mater they challenge these young people with and the students who enroll in this course of study with the desire to honor God through their efforts and growth.
Our Freshmen finished this year with a class average of 90.03
Our Sophomores finished this year with a class average of 88.58
Our Juniors finished this year with a class average of 86.82
and our Seniors finished this year with a class average of 88.36
and this includes the grades received after Senioritis hit BFA.
So, our entire student body as a whole has an average of 88.5 for the 2009-2010 school year.
Representing the Freshmen Class:
Mr. Evan Fung whose average this year is a 97.5
Representing the Sophomores:
Miss Hallie Brinkman whose average this year is a 95.36
Representing the Juniors:
Miss Soe Yeon Shin whose average this year is a 96.25
Representing the Seniors:
Miss Emily Heeringa whose average this year is a 95.59
And Representing the Class of 2010, as their Valedictorian:
Miss Rachel Schenkel whose overall average is a 95.59
