    Thanks for this post - it's good to hear the students' reflections and to know that, as much as anyone who hasn't experienced such horror, they've absorbed a bit of what our freedom and protection cost.
    As for Rob and Carl - you climbed the stairs - congrats!! (I'm assuming you didn't cheat with the elevator!).
